Growing up in the small town of Oxkutzcab, surrounded by lush Yucatan forests, I embraced a carefree existence, frolicking among my grandma’s chickens and turkeys. Life felt easy, despite our impoverished circumstances.

However, everything changed when I was uprooted and transported to the bustling city of San Francisco. The vibrant green of the forest was replaced by towering grey buildings, and I found myself lost and overwhelmed, unable to communicate or understand the fast-paced city life.

But fate had something in store for me. I discovered a life-changing program that introduced me to the wonders of camping, rafting, and the great outdoors—my beloved realm. It was a homecoming, a rekindling of joy.

Given a camera to document my experiences, I initially resisted, preferring to immerse myself fully in the present. Yet gradually, I recognized the power of capturing memories and the beauty of my surroundings.

Through photography, I found my passion and purpose. I connected with fellow photographers, drawing inspiration from industry legends. With their guidance and the tools at my disposal, I blossomed into a skilled member of the photography community.

Now, I stand at a crossroads, ready to chart my own path. Grateful for the experiences that shaped me, I eagerly embrace the future, eager to see where my unwavering passion for photography will lead me next.
